About Amorphous Silicon
Amorphous silicon (a-Si): is an amorphous form of silicon. The unit structure has a single sequence of pin layers. When exposed to sunlight, their power output is greatly reduced. A-Si thin film solar cells are usually found in calculators. A-Si thin film is manufactured in 6 steps. First, a TCO (transparent conductive oxide) layer is coated on the glass substrate as a front contact, and then P1 laser scribing is performed. An a-Si layer is then deposited and then subjected to a P2 laser scribing. Then, the metal conductive layer is brought into contact with the back side of the relevant P3 laser scribe.
